Thank you Cherokee Builder and Tim Johnson for sponsoring the Dorothy Smallwood Community Garden.   As always Tim and his hands on get it done attitude is creating measurable outcomes for Melvin Henry Center's ability to serve citizens of the WV Panhandle.
Melvin Henry Center is an IRS recognized Public Charity operating a thrift shop in which 100% of the work is performed without compensation and is a business that relies upon the free market and sale of non-cash contributions. All donations to Melvin Henry Center are tax deductible and provide relevant use for our efforts to address the educational and living needs of citizens of the Panhandle.

 For the second consecutive year, Melvin Henry Center is serving citizens of the Panhandle with produce from the Dorothy Smallwood Community Garden thanks to Tim Johnson and Cherokee builders. Thank you, Tim Johnson for your continued support of Melvin Henry Center and our efforts to fulfill our mission. Produce from the Dorothy Smallwood Community Garden is distributed to families and individuals in need of fresh whole foods.  While the total production weight was down the total number of families and individuals served increased in 2017.
