This course introduces the student to the basic carpentry skills needed to repair, build, and maintain structural and finishing components of buildings. Major Topics include: 1) introducton to construction industry; 2) commonly used building materials; 3) safe and proper use of hand and power tools; 4) introduction to construction drawings; and 5) floor systems
Carpentry I; 65 hrs
Carpentry II; 88 hrs.
